On February 5th, Week 4 commenced with an invigorating session led by Bernardo Vasconcelos – Sales professional, Coach, and facilitator, who brought a wealth of expertise and a competitive spirit to the table, focusing on fostering growth in our startup ecosystem.
Bernardo epitomizes effective leadership, boasting a keen focus on people development and tangible results. His overarching mission? To nurture talent and foster growth, recognizing it as the ultimate return on investment.
Kicking off the day, Bernardo initiated a thought-provoking exercise dubbed “Who’s Who?” This multifaceted activity delved into three key aspects:
- Self-presentation
- Personal perspectives on sales
- Expectations for the workshop
It served as an insightful exploration of each participant’s understanding of sales dynamics.
“Seize every opportunity to promote yourself and your product”
Bernardo emphasized, underscoring the pivotal role of trust and relationship-building in sales.
Drawing inspiration from Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle, Bernardo explored the fundamental questions:
- Why do you do what you do?
- How do you do what you do?
- What do you do?
Moreover, Bernardo introduced the Eisenhower Matrix, a powerful tool for prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance. By categorizing activities into four quadrants – DO, PLAN, DELEGATE, and ELIMINATE – participants gained clarity on managing their workload effectively.
“The moment you start questioning, transformation begins”
Bernardo asserted, highlighting the importance of embracing diverse perspectives on product development. This open-minded approach fosters innovation and ensures a holistic understanding of market needs.
Following the morning session, one-on-one mentoring sessions commenced, offering tailored guidance and strategic insights to each startup. The enriching discussions continued well into the afternoon, setting the stage for a week of growth and empowerment.
