TOURISM IN MADEIRA
Currently, tourism is the main activity and the biggest source of revenue of Madeira’s economy. Each year, it’s estimated that one million tourists visit Madeira and more than half a million passengers arrive on cruise ships, in Funchal.
In Funchal you can find a large offer of Tourist Animations companies, most of the hotels and plenty of events and cultural offers. There is no doubt that Madeira is the perfect place for your Startup to learn about new markets and, who knows, perhaps apply and develop your product with new people and expand your client and/or active users.
Madeira has been hosting large events and welcoming several modern companies.
Another important source of revenue for the regional economy is agriculture, which includes the banana production for regional and national consumption, flowers, the famous Madeira wine and embroidery.
